My crazy poodle just graduated from Mannered Mutts after a 5 week session. I actually signed up for these classes because I had won a bid on these lessons from a fundraiser by a local rescue group (PetNet), so I wasn't sure what to expect. Andi is young, but very informative. I was pleasantly surprised with the class as a whole.
I felt nervous about taking my 1-year old crazy standard poodle to a training class, because I felt like he had good control on the basic commands of sit, down, shake, etc. I didn't want to sign up for a class that would just go over the same basic things, but the structure of the class was much different. We learned a lot of different things that are good foundation skills that we can build upon. I had a problem with my poodle listening to me (puppy for life!), and we learned some commands that help maintain his attention as well as assist with recall.
The indoor facility is very clean, and big enough for our class of 4 dogs. Full bowls of water were always setup for our dogs, along with chairs and a mat. It was also really nice to have Andi provide advice on leashes, treats, etc. She would even let us borrow/use her own, which was a nice way to "try it before you buy it." Overall, I have to say I would highly recommend this place, even if your dog is older and just needs some refining. She has tons of advice to give you and has a knack for reading your dog's signals. We will definitely be signing up for some private lessons soon.
Our pups have made a lot of progress thanks to Andi's guidance!
